To connect the the kitchen and the living area, TR Custom Carpentry designed a custom functional wall cupboard for this house in the Provenierswijk, near Blijdorp, in Rotterdam.

The high-gloss white sides and horizontal niche are similar to the materials used in the existing kitchen. The teak veneer of the fronts with a continuous grain over the entire custom cabinet gives, in contrast to the high-gloss white laminate, an enormous warm and luxurious appearance.

The entire sideboard is fitted with adjustable shelves and push to open door fittings. The fronts are finished with a clear hardwax, which further accentuates the grain of the teak wood.
