For the sleeping area of ​​this loft house, part of the transformation project ‘van Vollenhovenkwartier’ in the center of Rotterdam, furniture maker TR Custom Carpentry has designed and installed a multifunctional custom cabinet.

The starting point was to fully integrate the floor-to-ceiling wall cupboard into the apartment, taking into account the concrete support structure and the already existing ensuite bathroom, toilet and washing machine room.

The built-in wardrobe itself is equipped with spacious aluminum soft-close drawers on both sides, a wardrobe with hanging space for clothes and various (adjustable) shelves. The veneered oak fronts are coated with a hardwax protective layer to give it a natural and timeless appearance. The solid oak handles are very practically and create beautiful lines.

By also covering the wall around the corner of the built-in cabinet with oak veneered mdf and placing an extra floating cabinet above the bathroom entrance, a whole was created between all the different elements. The entire unit is manufactured in our own furniture workshop and then re-built on location.
